Dive with Whale Sharks and Manta Rays at the Georgia Aquarium. Experience Atlanta’s premier dive adventure as the Dive Immersion team caters to all your diving needs—guiding you step-by-step, answering questions, ensuring your safety, and leading you through one of the largest aquariums in the world!
What to Expect
The full program will take 2.5 to 3 hours. You will be given an orientation to the habitat, the animals, your dive plan, and the safety guidelines for your experience. You will be provided everything you need during and after your dive. All gear is set up and sized to you before your experience. You will spend 30 minutes underwater guided by 3 dive professionals who will ensure both your safety and the safety of the animals. After a quick shower, you will be escorted back to the classroom to watch the video of your experience and collect your experience t-shirt.
Certification and Age Requirement
Must be 12+ to attend with nationally recognized proof of Open Water SCUBA certification and photo ID. Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult in the water with them. 1:1 adult/kid ratio for kids 12-14, 1:7 ratio for kids 15-17.
Parents or court appointed legal guardians must sign the program liability waiver and animal interactive program guidelines for guests under 18.
You must show proof of your certification at Georgia Aquarium.
What’s included
- All necessary dive gearYou may bring your personal mask that can be disinfected by the dive team prior to the dive. All other dive gear must be provided by the Georgia Aquarium to protect the wildlife.
- Aquarium AdmissionNon-divers may add additional admission tickets to watch their divers through the window and spend the day at the aquarium.
- Professional VideoDivers are not allowed to bring cameras on the dive.

Open Water certified divers ages 12 and up are eligible to participate in the SCUBA program. All gear is provided for the 30-minute dive and personal masks are permitted.
