Grill, Chill, Swim, and Dive at Vortex Springs in Ponce de Leon, FL. The dive area is limited to divers only to maintain excellent visibility and accessibility. The swim area includes rope swing, slides, beach area, and volleyball. Enjoy great company and incredible food while we hang out around a fire pit and share dive stories.

The group rooms (dorm style) are co-ed, meaning everyone sleeps in the same sleeping area. The bathrooms and showers are gender specific. The beds are furnished with linens and pillows, but you are welcome to bring your own. Bathroom essentials (soap, shampoo, towels, etc) are not provided.

The private cabins are located upstairs. They offer a bedroom with linens and an attached private bathroom.

Meals and snacks are included for those staying at the lodge. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. We will provide coffee, tea, lemonade, and bottled water. You are welcome to bring your own special beverages and alcohol.

Rental Gear (BCD, Regulator, wetsuit, tanks, and weights) is included for Open Water students. All other divers are responsible for their own gear and can rent it at the dive shop before the trip. All divers are responsible for transporting their gear to Florida. Contact the dive shop before the trip to discuss your gear sizes and arrange a time to pick up your equipment.

The instructors will begin arriving at Pinewood Lodge around 5:00 pm. You may stop at the Vortex Spring dive shop on your way to the lodge. Tell the desk you are with the Adventure Locators group. If you arrive before us, they will have the keys. Once we arrive, we will pick up all of the keys and have them hanging outside of the Group 1 door for easy access as you arrive.

We eat dinner together in Ponce de Leon usually beginning between 6-7 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you arrive while we are gone, you may make yourself at home until we get back. You will be provided the phone numbers of our instructors when you book. Please save those numbers as contacts in your phone. You may call for any questions or concerns during the trip.

7:00 am: Coffee is ready. Wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast.

9:00 am: Dive briefing and begin dives 1 and 2

12:00 pm: lunch, then relax

3:30 pm: Dive 3

Sunset: Night dive for those qualified

7:00 pm: Dinner

6:30 am: Caravan to Morrison Springs

7:00 am: Dive Morrison Springs

10:00 am: Return to Vortex Spring, eat breakfast

10:30 am: Group pic and complete paperwork

11:00 am: Check out
